When I was 2 years old, a traffic accident resulted in a spinal cord injury (T2), which left my with a disability that paralyzed below the chest.
Admiring the play of Shingo Kunieda, whom I saw play when I was 5 years old, I began playing wheelchair tennis in earnest at the age of 10.
At the age of 13, I was ranked No. 1 in Japan's junior rankings.
Even now, I never stops my steps to aim higher and is practicing every day with a dream to be on the world stage.
